Can you maintain my website after it’s live?

I am a firm believer in the age old expression "Give a person a fish and they're fed for a day. Teach a person to fish and they're fed for life." In other words, while I am open to exploring ongoing support services at this time, most clients will be happier long term if they can take ownership of website maintenance. 

 

To ensure you have the tools and resources you need to maintain your website, I offer different types of training services, tailored to your specific growth goals, needs, and bandwidth.

How much does a website cost?

Pricing depends on the scope of your project — the size of the site, features, and services included (like design, SEO, branding, training, etc). Most of my projects for small businesses and individuals start around $1,100–$2,000 for a standard site, and go up from there for more customized builds. Please also be sure to factor in external costs into your budget, like purchasing a domain or paying for web hosting services.

What if I already have a website but want to improve it?

Perfect! I love helping with refresh and optimization projects. We’ll review what’s working, what’s outdated, and what could improve visibility or user experience. Sometimes a few design and SEO tweaks make a huge difference — no full rebuild needed.

Do you handle SEO and marketing too?

Yes! Every site I build includes foundational SEO setup (meta tags, structure, and performance optimization). For clients who want to grow further, I also offer content strategy, keyword planning, and digital marketing coaching — showing you how to manage your website, track analytics, and expand your online audience confidently.

Do you create logos, graphics, or brand kits?

Yes — I can help with basic brand design (logos, color palettes, typefaces, and visual consistency) as part of your website project. For full-scale branding work (like packaging, photography, or advanced graphic design), I’ll connect you with trusted creative partners I collaborate with regularly.

Can you help me learn to manage my own website?

Definitely — that’s one of my favorite parts of what I do and it's what sets Jess Designs apart from other web developers and consultants. After launch, we'll schedule hands-on training sessions to walk you through updating pages, editing SEO settings, and using analytics tools. The goal is to empower you to feel confident managing your site without relying on a developer for every small change.

Do you work with clients outside of my area?

Yes! I work with clients remotely across the U.S. (and beyond). We’ll communicate through email, video calls, and shared documents so you always know where your project stands.

Do you only design websites on Wix?

Not at all! While Wix and other no-code platforms like SquareSpace and Webflow are great for quick, visually-driven sites, I am a certified full stack developer and I can also build fully coded or WordPress sites when projects call for deeper customization or scalability.

During our discovery call, I’ll recommend the best platform for your specific needs and long-term goals — not just the trendiest one.​
